We have delivered a sample of some of our wonderful artwork based on 'Families' to the Nantwich Museum this week in time for our school to be represented in the special Skoolsfest exhibition which opened yesterday evening.

The children have produced some wonderful pieces of work and I hope many of you are able to visit the exhibition which will be open until 4th July.

Thank you to James Cottrell and Amber Riley who have volunteered to join me at the special opening of this exhibition this evening to represent our school.

Our Wonderful Worship Leads led our collective worship on Tuesday focusing on new beginnings. The children worked hard to choose a story from the Bible, which they felt would be relevant, as well as two new songs for everyone to listen to.

It was a real success with one child commenting on how they had really enjoyed sharing their assembly because it was something different. The Worship Leads have all worked hard with Miss Dhana to prepare this special worship and they all did a wonderful job!

We welcomed Amber class parents and carers into school to share lunch with the class on Thursday. As always, Mrs Hayward prepared some delicious food and the Lunchtime Team did a super job of looking after everyone. Thanks to everyone who came to join us for this.

Members of our School Council presented a summary of their work this year to some of our Governors, as part of a Teaching and Learning committee meeting yesterday. The Governors present at the meeting commented on the children's confidence, enthusiasm and talent and I was tremendously proud of how well they did with this special task.

All of the Council members helped to write the presentation and some of our Year 6 children 'mentored' our younger Council members to prepare them for this special task.

It was remarkable to see just how much they have achieved in one school year. Well done to all of the School Council for making such a difference this year!

Our Green Team visited Gorse Hall Primary school's Green Team today with myself and Mrs Tailor. We will be travelling to the school near Manchester to see some of the projects they have been working on and sharing our plans for Green Team at our school.

FASA

FASA are busy preparing for our Summer Fair on Thursday 2nd July. They are planning a great variety of stalls and activities, including some of our children singing and sharing drama work.

You will be receiving packs of raffle tickets for this event via your child's school bag soon – please look out for them. Your help with the selling of these tickets is much appreciated.

We are holding a non-uniform day next Friday (26th) and asking for donations for the tombola of either a bottle or chocolates for the Fair. Thank you in advance for your support with this.

Don't Forget! FASA will be holding a 'Thank You Celebration Event' after school next Tuesday (immediately after our Parent Forum Meeting). There will be tea, coffee and cake available for all and a chance to see the fantastic set of iPads FASA's fundraising has purchased for school this year – please do attend if you can.

Thank you for all of the donations you have made to our Rag Bag Bin (situated near our main school gates). If you have any old clothes, shoes or covers that you are happy to donate, please bag them up and put them into the bin.

FASA do a great job of converting these donations into money for school, which helps us to provide a wide range of curriculum enhancement opportunities for children in our school.

ABC Childcare

Children at ABC are all enjoying summer fun – a reminder to please send your child in with a sun hat and sun cream. The ABC team would like to thank everyone who attended their teddy bears picnic on Monday – everyone had lots of fun!

Bookings are now being taken for babies and 2 year olds and please look out for ABC's Holiday Club questionnaire. Your thoughts and views are greatly appreciated.

Parent Forum

Don't forget our meeting next Tuesday (2pm – 3pm in the School Hall). If you cannot attend the meeting, please send any thoughts or comments you would like to have included in the discussions into school as soon as possible.

Parking

I would like to remind parents not to park on pavements outside school at the beginning and end of the school day. Please consider our local residents at these times.

Finally

Many thanks to all of the parents and carers who have taken time to complete our end of year Parent Survey. It is important that we hear your views and it is good to have your feedback.

If you still have a survey to return, please return it to school by Monday 29th June so we are able to use this feedback in our School Development Planning for
next year.
