Audlem Lass, in 2012, carried 4,127 passengers, up slightly from last years' 4,115. Other statistics:
Assorted dogs carried: 146.
Push chairs – buggies carried: 26.
Total boat trips: 1,821.
Total volunteer crew hours: 1,176.
Total amount raised for the RNLI: £3,722.95.

The Audlem Lass Boat Service and Crew would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers for their continued support towards the service we offer from Easter through to the end of October.

It has been an interesting and at times a demanding season....rain and more rain! But we still had customers aboard, a little damp at times.

However, when the sun did shine, the wet days were soon forgotten!

We also had the Safety Afloat Family Fun Day at Overwater Marina (monies raised went to the RNLI) mid-way through the season. It turned into the busiest day for customers that the boat has  had 268 in total on one day.

She (Audlem Lass) has now left the mooring and returned to the safety of her boat house where she will have a quick wash and brush up with Signs polished and hull jet washed in preparation for the major event of the year” – delivering Father Christmas and his helpers safely to the village on the evening of Thursday 29th November.

Following last year's success the RNLI fund raising team will be offering floating candles to be placed in the canal. The boat will be Dressed overall with fairy lights....so you will be unable miss her!

As a foot note the Boat Crew would also like to thank all the dog owners that travelled aboard the boat this season for the “Well behaved doggies” Woof Woof!!
