Audlem Fire Station 'Steve Fellows Memorial Cycle Ride A2HH'

The crew of Audlem Fire Station, on-call Firefighters working for Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service and our community have gone through some pain to raise funds in memory of Steve Fellows.

In July 2023, our Crew Manager Steve Fellows was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour called glioblastoma. Sadly, we lost Steve in the following October.

In memory of Steve, the crew decided to embark on a cycle ride from Audlem in Cheshire, to Harcombe House in Devon (A2HH). The journey was 240 miles and was cycled over 4 gruelling days. Harcombe House was a favourite holiday location for Steve and his family, and we have decided that this would be a fitting destination for this ride.

The crew have decided to raise funds for two causes that our very close to our hearts. The Firefighters Charity and to The Brain Tumour Research Charity.

The Firefighters Charity is very dear to anyone working, or having worked, in the Fire & Rescue Service. As no one ever knows when their support will be needed, it is an invaluable resource. The Brain Tumour Research Charity has been chosen specifically to recognise the great work that is being done to eradicate this terrible disease.

The fundraising cycle ride started on Tuesday 10th September from Audlem Fire Station, stopping at Ludlow, Avonmouth and Bridgewater Fire Stations on route to Harcombe House arriving on Friday 13th September.

Steve was loved by all who knew him and was a special character in our village, and was father to his 8x beautiful children and his wife Vicki. Steve served Audlem Fire Station for 20 years, and we hope that you will support us in this fantastic challenge` and donate to our chosen charities.

We would welcome any donations from the local community, some of who have been really generous so far.

You can hit this link to donate here

Or if you prefer to donate cash, the team at Williams of Audlem Ltd are collecting this for us.

This is our last push to raise as much money as possible in the hope that families in the future don't have to experience what Steve's family has with this much needed research.

Thanks in advance for you support.

Audlem Fire Service Crew.
