FREE COURSE TO SUPPORT LOCAL PEOPLE BACK TO WORK

On Tuesday 1 October we are starting a new Steps to Employment course at the Nantwich CAP Job Club run by St Mary's Church volunteers.

The course consists of eight two-hour interactive training sessions on

  • Finding your Motivation
  • Overcoming Obstacles
  • Discovering Your Strengths
  • Getting to Know Employers
  • Writing CVs and applications (2 sessions)
  • Succeeding in Interviews
  • Getting ready to Work

In addition, each course member will have access to four one-to-one coaching sessions to support them in setting personal goals and achieving them. The course runs over eight weeks.

As before, the Job Club meets at Market Street Church, Market Street, Nantwich (opposite the Civic Hall) every Tuesday morning between 9:30 and 12:30.

We have received very good feedback from previous course participants, telling us they feel welcomed and that the course increased their confidence. Participants have gone on to start jobs with local employers, accessed work experience, and others are still using the job search support at the Tuesday Drop-ins.
