The following statements have been issued to parents and carers this afternoon at St James Primary School, Audlem:

#Statement by Catherine Nolan-Burnitt
After many happy years working with the children, staff and parents at Audlem St James’, I feel it is time to pursue new challenges and, therefore, I will be leaving Audlem St James on Tuesday 20th December 2011.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all previous governors for their challenge and support in the pursuit of the best possible education for all the children. I would also like to express my gratitude to the many parents and community members who support our School.

My thanks go to the committed and professional staff at Audlem St James’ who have always maintained an extremely high level of professionalism and integrity, seeking always to provide stimulating, challenging and fun learning opportunities.

It has been an absolute privilege to work with your wonderful children who are a real credit to you, their parents, and the community of Audlem.

I wish you all very best wishes for the future,

Kind regards,

Catherine Nolan-Burnitt

#Statement from Derek Barnes: Interim Executive Board; Chair
The Interim Executive Board would like to wish Mrs Catherine Nolan-Burnitt every happiness in the future and thank her for her work with Audlem St James’ School over many years.

We have secured, through the support of Cheshire East Local Authority, Rachel Johnson as Interim Headteacher and she will take up post as from the beginning of the spring term 2012. Rachel has previously worked in other Cheshire East Schools as a Headteacher.

The IEB will make arrangements to start the recruitment process for the appointment of a permanent Head teacher at the start of the new term. To keep parents informed of recent developments and following on from the ‘drop-ins’ this term, we would like to invite parents/carers to a meeting at the school with the IEB and Local Authority representatives on Monday 16th January at 7:00 pm. Further information regarding this meeting will be sent out to all parents/carers at the start of next term.

Wishing you a happy and peaceful Christmas and New Year.

Derek Barnes  IEB Chair
