St James School Governors

We have received the following information from the IEB at St James' school:

"The appointments to the SGB (Shadow Governing Body) to date are:

• Mr Tony Dugdale (community governor)


• Mr Gary Suggate (parent governor)


• Mr Nick Brennan (parent governor)


• Mrs Becky Jewitt - HT from September (staff governor)


• Mr Jonathan Taylor (community governor)


• Mrs Janet Furber (LA governor)


• Mrs Alison Rayne (parent governor)

"There are vacancies for two foundation governors and one staff governor. The LA is awaiting nominations from the Diocese for the foundation governors, and nominations for the appointment of a second member of staff will be sought by the Headteacher in September once all the new members of staff are in post. The appointments are to be confirmed by the  LA.

"The SGB had its inaugural meeting on 11 July. Janet Furber was appointed as Chair for that meeting and the next one which will be held on 11 September, by which time it is hoped that the SGB will be complete.

"The SGB will then meet with the IEB on a monthly basis during the transition period.

Hopefully this marks another step back towards successful normality for Audlem St James Primary School.
