St James Church Building Fund – Update

Evidence that the work to repair our church building is in progress can be clearly seen in the attached photograph of the scaffolding. The work is expected to be complete by the end of September.

Unfortunately, we do still have a substantial shortfall of funds (circa £10,300) for this work and the contractors require the final account to be settled within 30 days of completion.

The only way we can meet the costs are by using funds intended for operational costs to the end of the year and a major proportion will have to be supplemented with short term loans which have to be paid back.

In the meantime, we continue to fund raise and would welcome any further support from our local community to help save this beautiful centrepiece of the village.
