ADCA are providing you with an unparallelled opportunity to tick off another on the list of life experiences so beloved of bucket lists. After seeing the sun rise on Ayers Rock and doing a bungee jump into Bryce Canyon, you can now experience the sensation of a fresh cowpat dropped by a random cow in a random field near Audlem.

And you can win a sensational £1000 prize in the process!

Available at many of Audlem's retail outlets (see list below) are entry forms on which you can predict the exact position of the critical cowpat.

ADCA

This is all to raise funds for ADCA (Audlem and District Community Action), the local charity run by local people that provides help and support through its day clubs and befriending service to vulnerable and socially isolated adults. ADCA also runs a medical transport service using volunteers to take people without other means of transport to medical appointments and helps carers locally by providing support, information and the opportunity for breaks form their caring responsibilities.

"Spot the Cowpat" has been described as "spot the ball with a difference"! In early October, a cow will be released into a field measuring 50 metres squared, courtesy of Mr and Mrs Tim Rees of Foxes Bank Farm, Hunsterson. The prizewinner will be the person adjudged to have placed his or her cross on the "field" pictured on the entry form nearest to the centre of where the first cowpat lands.

Prizes

As well as the £1,000 first prize, there are three other cash prizes, of £300, £150 and £50 for the next closest entries. Entry costs just £1 and allows five crosses to be marked on the plan of the field.

Already the competition has attracted plenty of interest, as well as support from retail outlets in Audlem and ADCA wishes to thank all those who have offered to publicise the competition and/or hold a supply of entry forms.

The closing date of the competition is October 2nd and ADCA hopes that "Spot the Cowpat" will attract entries not only from local people, but also from visitors to the village's events throughout the summer months.
