A special Bridge Quiz

As regular quiz goers will know, the Bridge Quiz on Thursday nights, starting at 9.00pm, is a popular weekly event in the Audlem calendar. There will, however, be a very special Christmas Quiz which has been arranged for 16th December.

On that night we will begin at 7.45pm with the Annual Buffet that I pay for from the surplus funds built up over the year from the contestants' £3 a team, a buffet that no doubt Bridie and Nigel will make very tastefully for all.

We then move to the quiz. Eight rounds with myself and Mike Haines sharing the questions between us.

The collection that night will be to the benefit of a young woman here in the village with cancer, Thandi Sidu, and as such is unable now to work.

We will also have a Raffle and prizes for the raffle will be very well received. Again all proceeds to Thandi, a very worthwhile local act of charity I am sure you will agree.

That will be the last quiz of 2010 and I do hope all will attend this very genial night.
