First Match v Crewe Vagrants

The cricket season didn't disappoint in getting off in it's customary inaugural fixture displaying 'abandoned match' signs at the turnstiles . Sunday's game against Crewe Vagrants was called off the previous evening after a day of sleet and snow had left the the ground resembling a Christmas card scene. It is hoped the present dry weather will continue to enable this Saturday's game against near neighbours. Woore CC to take place ( 12:30pm start ).

Net practice

Outdoor net practice has been arranged for Wednesday evenings at The Gorse Croft from approx. 5:30pm with everyone welcome to attend. We are always on the lookout for new talent with the opportunity to make one of our weekend teams on offer.

Our main shirt sponsors are all in place for the season but the club is still on the lookout for individuals or local businesses to sponsor our l home games throughout the season. Any help and assistance would be very welcome as the club are planning to improve the facilities again at the end of the current season. All the contact details can be found on the club's play-cricket page – click  here  - or just pop down to the ground when a game is on and make yourself known.
