Six-a-side tournament on Monday

As part of the Jubilee celebrations Audlem Cricket Club is holding a six-a-side tournament on Bank Holiday Monday, 4th June, at the Gorse Croft, Bunsley Bank.

The day will be a major fund-raising event for the Club as they try to raise money to install an all-weather batting strip.  This will enable them to practise when the ground is wet and will also be used for the juniors.  Audlem Parish Council has already donated £250 towards the cost.

In addition to the bar there will also be an all-day barbecue, so if you want to escape from the Music Festival or you want to continue the enjoyment of Carnival Day, why not wander up to the Gorse Croft to watch some entertaining cricket.

The Club will also be running a raffle with plenty of good prizes available.

There will be either six or seven teams in the tournament which will start at 10 o’clock and run throughout the afternoon and early evening.

Audlem CC's Chairman, Chris Shenton hopes that as many people as possible will turn up to support the Club.
