(The website link that was here no longer works) The rain just about stopped in time – and there was even some sunshine – for the second open-air event of the weekend.Once again the good people of ASET had made available the stage and other facilities for the churches to gather for an open-air service on the Sunday evening. Methodist congregations from across the Nantwich Circuit, together with friends from the village churches, gathered for a Songs of Praise service to commemorate the three hundredth anniversary of the birth of hymn-writer Charles Wesley. The Roberts Bakery Band accompanied the singing, and children and young people from the different churches took a prominent part.Understandably, the uncertain weather deterred many from attending. They missed the showers – but also the sun, the rainbow and an excellent occasion. Thank you to all who made it possible. Click on the picture to see some further photos.
