Our Wonderful Worship Leads led our Assembly on Monday by sharing the story of Thomas with the whole school. They reminded us of how Thomas doubted whilst others had faith and role-played the story confidently and enthusiastically – it was wonderful to share!

Our Year 4 children represented us fabulously at the Singing Together concert at the Victoria Hall in Hanley on Wednesday afternoon. Their smiles and gusto in their performance was a real credit to school and they were so brave in front of such a large audience!

Thank you to Mrs Stoker for all of her hard work preparing for this special event.

Sapphire class shared an entertaining and engaging assembly with their relatives on Thursday. They told their audience all about Fire through music, artwork and gymnastics and it was a delight to see how proud they were of their work.

Our EYFS and KS1 Choir held a special 'Showcase' of all of their singing work with Mrs Shackleton yesterday afternoon. They clearly enjoyed the experience and they captivated their audience with their energy and smiles.

Thank you to the parents and carers who attended our Reading Workshop last night. Feedback from the information evening was very positive and we will be adding the PowerPoints and handouts from the meeting to our website so we can continue to work together to support children throughout school to become life long readers.

Thank you also to Mrs Heathcock for organising and preparing resources for this event and to all the class teachers for leading workshops.

Our EYFS children have been working with some of our talented parent helpers to put finishing touches to an amazing outdoor mural for their area this week – it really is a treat and has so much detail I see something different each time I see it!

Thank you to all of the volunteers who have given their time to create something so special with the children.

The winning team Dragon's Den team from Amber class, The Bookworm Company, represented school at Brine Leas yesterday morning in the finals event with other Nantwich schools. The children will be making a product from recycled materials and presenting their prototype to the judges. I am sure they will impress!

Well done to Katie Francis (Diamond class), Mia Taylor (Amethyst class) and Jenna Gavin (Ruby class) who were awarded with our Lunchtime Superstar Awards today. These children have impressed Mrs Hayward, Mrs Jones and all of our Mid-Day Assistants with their wonderful manners, good appetites and politeness at lunchtimes throughout this half term.

We have counted up the final tallies for our Team Points this term and I am pleased to announce that Alder team have managed to win overall for Spring Term. They have been enjoying their team reward on Tuesday afternoon next week. Please look out for a note in school bags if your child is in this team. Well done to them all!

Good Luck to our school netball team who had an away game against Pear Tree after school on Friday.

Book Fair

Thank you to Mrs Heathcock and her Librarians for their hard work organising and running our Book Fair in school. This event raised funds for school, which we will be able to use towards new dictionaries and thesauruses for classrooms. This would not be possible without the tremendous support of families visiting the fair each day. Thank you.

Congratulations to Toby Nettleton, Harrison Saunders, Molly Sullivan and Emily Suggate who were all winners in our World Day Book Competition and received a book token from the Fair as prizes.
