The show will go on

Revellers at Saturday evening's "Proms on the Park" event can rest assured that the event will take place – even if it rains. Spokesperson for ASET (Audlem Special Events Team) Andrew Smith said:

"Be assured the concert will take place regardless of the weather, as stated in our publicity flyer. However, the programme may be curtailed if conditions cause safety issues.

"I can reveal that all members of ASET are confident that the predicted bad weather will have relented by Saturday evening!!"
