The organisers of the Short-ARS walks, normally held on the 4th Saturday of the month, apologise profusely for failing to arrange a walk for tomorrow, 25th December.

After planning a range of possible routes and, given the current conditions under foot, arranging to carry out a full-scale risk assessment, it was pointed out that many, if not all of the regulars may be otherwise engaged tomorrow.

A full programme has, however, been planned for 2011 with half the monthly walks of 5 – 7 miles along local Audlem Parish footpaths to ensure they are all kept open and regularly walked. Other walks will normally be within a half hour or so drive from Audlem.

A special new event, the Audlem Big Walk, has been pencilled in for Saturday 21st May. This will be organised by the Audlem Medical Practice Patient Panel and it's hoped to encourage many local residents to enjoy a local figure of eight walk with 3- and 5-mile options. This will replace the Short-ARS walk for May.
