Kate Down will lead the walk on Saturday March 19th.
Meet at Audlem car park at 9.30am.

The walkThe walk will be around Whitchurch, starting at the Sandstone Trail carpark in the centre of Whitchurch.

The walk will take us along the first section of the Sandstone Trail which is along the canal and, at Grindley Brook, we join the Bishop Bennett Way to go across country to Wirswall, where there will be an option to drop back into Whitchurch along a quiet lane or to go into the village and walk back into Whitchurch via the trig point and the golf course.

The going will mostly be fairly flat with only a couple of short and gentle uphill sections. If we have any serious amount of rain between now and then, a few sections could be muddy. The full walk is 6 1/4 miles with the shorter option of about 5 miles.

The walk is dog friendly as it is mostly along a bridleway, but there will be some sections where dogs will need to be under close control, due to housing and livestock.

Please see the ARS page on the website for further information about ARS membership.
