Search for lost words

Across school there has been a hive of activity as classes have explored the many areas of the arts and produced some wonderful work to be proud of. Our week has been based on a wonderful book called 'The Lost Words' which has inspired classes across schools to celebrate some of the rich language which has been 'lost' from dictionaries over recent years. The children have been busy preparing art work on this theme which will be displayed both in school and as part of the Schoolsfest art exhibition in Nantwich in July.

ADAS Growing Com petition

We are looking forward to being joined by members of the ADAS team in assembly this morning for the launch of the ADAS Growing Competition for this year. All of the children have been provided with a courgette plant to grow for this competition this week. Growing tips and instructions have been included with this newsletter and are also available on our school website. There will be two prizes per class for the longest and heaviest courgette. Entries in the form of photographs with child's name, class and metric weight and length of courgette(s) need to be sent by email to adasgardens@gmail.com by the end of September. Thank you to ADAS for organising this competition and happy growing everyone!
