The 5 'R's
As a school we are concentrating on the 5 'R's – resilience, reflectiveness, responsibility, resourcefulness and readiness to learn.
These are the children who have shown such qualities this week:
Resilience:
- Phoebe Phillips for showing resilience when working out addition problems in maths;
- Bella Condrey for trying hard and never giving up;
- Riley Morris for facing challenges and using tools to support himself;
- Charlie Crowley who has persevered with some tricky words in his reading book
Reflectiveness:
- Lily Satchithananda for reflecting on speech in her reading;
- Orion Morgan, Anna Ammundsen and Bella Roberts for taking time to think carefully before responding to their feedback.
Responsibility:
- Lillie Tudor for taking responsibility and supporting her friends;
- Millie Fellows and Maddie Fell for showing a mature sense of responsibility during a practical maths lesson this week;
- Bella New for being responsible for her own learning and behaviour.
Resourcefulness:
- Lucy Brennan for excellent use of resources when making a peg doll;
- Isla Rowe for writing extra stories at home!;
- Eva Tilley for thinking of creative ways to present her work.
Readiness to Learn:
- Matthew Jones for excellent readiness to learn;
- Ethan Hughes, Larnah Murfin and Esmae Fellows for ensuring they are ready to learn in all sessions;
- Alex Baker and Ava Bowen-Jones for following instructions carefully in Art and showing great progress in their ability to draw faces;
- James Brennan who is always ready at the start of the lesson
