Audlem St James school is, yet again, the front page story in the Chronicle. This week's edition has the headline: "Parents in School Revolt."

The report says that Audlem St James's headteacher has returned to school but more than 10% of children have been taken out of the primary school by their parents.

The report says that the issue has created a divide in the village with some parents rallying around in support of Mrs Nolan-Burnitt saying the school is "a shining example of a model village school with happy pupils".

Others registered their displeasure with the head with one parent saying that there are others who will be taking their children out.

A fourth school governor has resigned. Acting chairman Martin Keighley has departed citing increased work commitments. This follows the earlier resignations of the previous chairman, Peter Ellis; of Rev. Helen Chantry and parent governor Paula Maginess.

The Chronicle is on sale at Williams' newsagents and costs 77p.
