On 5th August, Andrew Tomlinson wrote on Audlem Online: "I noticed on this site you have a picture of Salford Audlem. Could someone please tell me more about the photo, ie, which end of Salford it was taken from and a rough date?
"I am interested in Salford cottage. It used to be three cottages and is where my father lived. Any help would be greatly appreciated."
Ben Morgan has now written to Audlem Online and attached the marked up photo now displayed. He says:
“I grew up living in Salford, Audlem and my parents still inhabit Pentre House which is the house in the middle of the photo, on the left hand side of the road.
"The location of the photographer as he took the photo is that he stood just at the bottom of the hill, looking uphill and South-East. Nowadays on your right would be a field / the Baptist Chapel and a detached concrete garage.
"I've noted in this photo which buildings are still standing or demolished as best I can.”
