I walk through Turnpike Field most mornings at about 8 in the morning and enjoy it in all weathers, I usually see rabbits and once a kingfisher by the stream. It can be very beautiful, but this morning ( Tuesday), I was disappointed to see the amount of rubbish left by the first picnic table, it is difficult to understand why people do this.

Also as a warning, someone has been using the small 'beach' by the stream as a toilet, I didn't take a photo of this as it is disgusting.

As for more excitement the path near the road is completely flooded, up to my ankles but passable with the right footwear. Christine Johnson

Ed: Not sure whether it is related, but on Monday when a young relative was walking his dog in Turnpike Field he was surprised to see two tents pitched.
