A pair of roofers who pleaded guilty to misleading customers have now been given a Criminal Anti Social Behaviour Order (CRASBO) to help stop them carrying out any similar scams.
Father and son duo Donald James Warner, 50, and James Dean Warner, 29, traded as JW Roofing and Building and carried out work across Cheshire East and Staffordshire.
On February 2, they pleaded guilty to fraud. They were given community orders and ordered to pay compensation and costs.
Cheshire East Council's consumer protection and investigations team brought the prosecution after receiving several complaints that the pair cold-called residents using false and misleading claims in order to carry out work on their property.
The Council successfully applied for a CRASBO on conviction at Chester Magistrates on March 1.
