Rodney Cottrell accompanied by Christine recently received a Points of Light Award from the Prime Minister and presented by MP Antoinette Sandbach.
The citation read:
It gives me great pleasure to present Rodney Cottrell, on behalf of the Audlem Overwater Wheelyboat Services, with the Prime Ministers "Points of Light Award"
The Points of Light Award recognises outstanding individual volunteers who are making a real difference in their communities.
I would like to thank you as one of those dedicated volunteers for making it possible.
Without your dedication and hard work to improve community services, many people would not be able to enjoy the waterways. I wish you every success in the future with your ongoing projects.
