Road closures seem to be flexible

Over recent weeks we have published details of road closures supplied to Audlem Parish Council by Cheshire East highways.

It seems, however, that there are, and have been changes, to the programme which are only just coming to light.

Firstly, the planned closure of Paddock Lane on 8 – 10th September did not happen, we are informed by a resident. And yesterday, we are told by a resident of Longhill Lane that the road closure planned for the 17th – 22nd September, has been postponed.

The closures were to repair road surfaces.

The following notices of local road closures received yesterday by Kirstin Dixon, clerk to AudlemParish Council, are:

• Hardy's Lane will now be closed on the 21st and 22nd of September. This was originally scheduled for 4 – 7th September
• Paddock Lane will now be closed from the 23rd to the 25th September.
