Following the news at the Annual Village Meeting last week that the boundaries of the new Weaver Valley Regional Park had been re-drawn to include Audlem, a query has come into Audlem Online about rights of way.

Shea O'Neill. the project manager for the new Regional Park, described to residents how the new park, with 111km of navigable waterways, would help promote recreation and tourism by providing access to quality landscapes and wildlife. The Weaver Way would become a north/south route for walking, cycling, rowing and canoeing which would have Audlem at its southern end. A local resident, while delighted at the idea of access to the river being improved, asks what will the landowners think. Will these footpath schemes create new rights of way? It's a question we will pass on to Shea.

The same resident, following the Public Forum point raised at the meeting about renewing prescriptions at the surgery, points out there is a letterbox by the surgery door for repeat prescriptions which can be used when the surgery is closed.
