With so many keen cyclists in the Audlem area, we thought this Sportive announcement from Crewe Climb might be of interest.

Prudential RideLondon – Surrey 46 on Sunday 31st July 2016

Climb is the leading patient organisation for Inherited Metabolic Diseases supporting thousands of patients worldwide with over 700 Inherited Metabolic Diseases, based in Crewe.

Climb's mission is to raise awareness and provide bespoke support to families, patients and professionals to improve the lives of those affected by Inherited Metabolic Diseases.

Climb has 10 charity bond places for the RideLondon – Surrey 46. This new event will be held for the first time in 2016 as part of the Prudential RideLondon festival of cycling.

The Sportive (remember, it's not a race!) comprises a spectacular 46-mile route on traffic-free roads, beginning at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in East London and following the same route as the Prudential RideLondon – Surrey 100 for the first 27 miles before taking a new two-mile route, which then links up with the last 17 miles through London to the finish in The Mall.

The Prudential RideLondon – Surrey 46 is still a challenge but it is much more of an introduction to cycling on traffic free roads and it's a wonderful way to ride your first sportive.

Riders will depart in waves from Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park from 9.00 – 9.30am, immediately after the last start wave of the Prudential RideLondon – Surrey 100. They will finish on The Mall and will have a spectacular unique medal designed for the occasion.

To complete you must be able to complete the ride within 4 and a half hours and agree to raise at least £100 via a Virgin Money Giving page.

If you require any further information and an application form, please contact julie@climb.org.uk or call 0845 241 2173.
