Results of the Hangover Trophy

While many of us last Sunday were trying to recover from the previous night's New Year's Eve excess, local golfers were bravely competing for the Hangover Trophy at Brookfield. Organised by BAGS (Burleydam & Audlem Golf Society), the event was blessed by glorious sunny weather.

The Hangover trophy was won by the team of Nigel Mathews (capt) John Cooke, Brian Mair & Rob Bonell. Second was Ernie Hankey, Bob Spibey, Roy Mills and Tom Measures. In third place was Andrew Anderson, J Knight and G Walley.

All participants of the winning teams were presented with individual prizes. Thirty eight golfers played and there were 50, including guests, for the hot-pot lunch. Many thanks to John Cooke for all the hard work he put in organising the event.

This year's charity is the Royal National Lifeboat Institution which has been presented with a cheque for £170-00 from the event.
