I was the sole attendee at the previous one, on this occasion there were 20+ parishioners there and a number of young folk.

The main topic in the public part was the proposed bike track in Turnpike Field. Members of the public were expressing dissatisfaction in respect of the lack of consultation and transparency over this issue.

The councillors pointed out that the proposed plan is available on the APC website, the matter has been on the meeting agendas since July last year and the discussions minuted.

The chair assured those present that the cost/maintainance of the track will not come from the precept which we pay, grants will be applied for. No decisions have been made.

Responding to a request the PC agreed to provide a bin for dog poo at the Bagley Lane canal bridge.

There was a complaint re the state of the roads. There is a form which can be accessed online TRACE (track, report, alert Cheshire East) which should be used to complain to CE. Everyone is encouraged to use it in an effort to get things done.

The police are hopeful that they will have a result from CPS re the proposed prosecution for the missing APC monies for the next meeting in March. The old PC accounts are being reviewed to ensure they are correct, this is being held up in part by the police investigation. They need to be properly signed off by the auditors so that the PC can move forward and apply for grants.

Re TPF discussions are on going with interested regarding wildlife and planting issues.

The route of Footpath 26 from accessed from Green lane is to be altered. A new pond is proposed to assist with drainage.

There is to be community engagement between the PC and interested parties to discuss how best to use TPF for the benefit of the community.

Hand delivered letters in respect of this are being given to the businesses in the village as part of this process.

Nothing much for the police to report. They are wanting to identify the masked man in black who has been riding round the village at speed on an e-scooter.

The APC now have a new website and Facebook page. The rest of the meeting was fairly straightforward as per the agenda.
