At the top of the Tower

The pinker stones are two of the 17 new stones needed to replace others in the buttresses.

There is currently much pointing to be done. The metal rods have been inserted through the stones of the buttress. When the scaffolding comes down people will be able to see the plugs which cover the end of the rods – although these will soon weather and be indistinguishable.

The Stonemasons have been doing a great job. they hope to finish the work by Monday and the scaffolding will then come down – the fundraising continues to bring in the rest of the money to pay for it – but a huge relief to have this part of the work almost finished.

Please continue to support us – there are lots of ways for people to support the work – donations or the fundraising events we have coming up.

"Chili and Puds" evening
