After a storming rise in readership in October, we didn't expect the same in November – only thirty days, and almost a full day lost when the server for thousands of websites, including Audlem's, went down a few weeks ago for 23 hours.

The final figures for the month, however, show 73,023 readers clicked on, up 13.5% on October's 64,309. In terms of hits, or number of pages opened, the figure was 162,956, up 14.3% on the previous record.

The latest figures mean that AudlemOnline has increased its readership by over 80% since January this year. An average day now sees over 2,400 readers clicking on.

What appears to be a popular innovation this month has been video coverage of some major events – the Public Hall meeting about planning on November 1st and the Big Switch On this past Thursday. The latter, in particular, has proved very popular with a very large number watching and many compliments, including one last night from Dallas, Texas.

A big thank you to all our readers, contributors and 'news makers' for your continued interest. If so inclined, you can follow the readership figures by clicking on Visits Today at the bottom of the Homepage. The figures are updated every hour.

An addiction clinic is planned on 1st April when those that get hooked can join the editor in what will prove to be a hopeless attempt at a cure!
