Ramblers Short Walk next Saturday

The next Short ARS walk on Saturday 28th October will be at Market Drayton led by Kate Down. Meet Audlem Car Park to leave at 9 am.

nb due to current conditions there will be a check on Friday to ensure we can get there and the walk is safe

Walk description:-

Starting at Market Drayton swimming pool carpark ( free parking!!), the walk is along the River Tern and then follows paths which pass Buntingsdale Hall and through the Golf Course. We pass the Four Alls and walk down to Tirley Locks, then back along the canal into town. It's approximately a 6 mile circuit, and is mostly on good tracks or minor roads. There may be a couple of muddy places.

NB All walkers must have suitable footwear and be prepared for adverse weather, carry food and water to last for the entire walk and be suitably fit for the various lengths of walk.

Each walk is led by a nominated leader who will carry some first-aid equipment. The leader has the right to refuse to include in a group anyone who is felt not be adequately equipped.

Non-members of Audlem Rambling Society (ARS) are welcome to come on a walk but are expected to join ARS and pay the membership fee after a trial walk or two.
