A number of issues were raised at Thursday's Annual Village Meeting by residents. One asked what was being done about acts of vandalism. PC Ken Maple responded by saying that they should always be reported and that there had been recent success over a number of incidents. He reminded people that the next Community Action Meeting would take place at St James' school on Wednesday 17th May at 7.00pm. Dog fouling was another issued raised, particularly on the playing field.

A resident asked about the surgery (and a similar email has recently been sent by another resident to Audlem Online) about rumoured plans to stop repeat prescriptions being ordered over the telephone and that a visit to the surgery would be necessary in future. Given that the surgery is no longer open on a Saturday, this would make it difficult for people with a normal working-week as they might have to take time off work. There would also be more car journeys as people would have to return two days later to pick up their prescribed drugs. Perhaps the surgery could clarify the situation as it appears to be causing some concern?
