A draft lease has now been received from Cheshire East and the Parish Council is arranging for it to be examined by a solicitor with a target transfer date being set of the beginning of October.
A Charging scheme has also been received from Cheshire East.
Both of the above are similar to what is in place for playing fields at other villages leased by Cheshire East.
A meeting took place with ANSA ( The ground maintenance company) and Ralph Warburton and Councillor Bill Consterdine concerning the poor repair work that had been carried out near the goalmouths,
It was agreed that work would be carried out to remedy the position and it would start after the Transport Festival and be ready for us in October. Ralph has arranged that Audlem FC's matches, at the start of the new season, will be played away until then.
A Parish Council meeting took place on the 26th June concerning all aspects of the management of the Playing field. Tenders are expected go out for contract work in the near future. New signage is also being reviewed.
Finally a dedicated email address and booking system will shortly be set to facilitate bookings for the field and any complaints.
So it would appear much more likely that the lease and management of the playing field and play area By the Parish Council will now take place at a similar time to the New Annexe opening – good news.
