Tomorrow, Sunday 16th, an exhibition is being prepared in the Public Hall by a range of village organisations. This will show examples to the regional judges of the 'Village of the Year' competition of just how much goes on in Audlem.

The judges are visiting the village on Monday and will first see a presentation by 12 village representatives before they travel in style by coach and horses to the Public Hall.

After the judging, the Cheshire Community Council (CCC) and the Department for Rural Affairs (DEFRA) will present Audlem with its three awards as 'Cheshire Village of the Year', 'Most Vibrant Village' and for 'Building Community Life'. Other villages have been invited by CCC and DEFRA to attend and receive a selection of awards.

If Audlem is succesful in the regional stage of the competition, where it is competing with villages from the North West and North of England, it will go on to the national final.
