Kathleen Fedouloff emailed AudlemOnline to suggest that we informed readers about a national Post Office Petition being promoted by a campaigning organisation called 38 degrees.
"38 Degrees is the angle at which snowflakes come together to form an avalanche – together we're unstoppable".
One of their current petitions is "Protect Our Post Offices", which seeks to ensure that current criteria for Post Offices are maintained.
If you want to find out more about 38 degrees, click here to go to their website.
If you want to look at the specific Post Office petition with a view to signing it, click here
In order to sign the petition you will have to give them your name and e-mail address (this is primarily to ensure that people are not signing many times over). You will then get e-mails about other 38 degrees campaigns, although we understand that you can "unsubscribe" if you wish.
Although it addresses the same problem as the Post Office Network Consultation highlighted recently by the Parish Council (see article here), this petition is not the same process.
So just to be on the safe side, you could do both!
