PCSO Jarvis and PC Sarah Marson continue to police Audlem and the surrounding areas.

During the past few months we have had no particular crime trends, just isolated incidents that most residents are aware of due to the excellent work of AudlemOnline.

With the winter nights approaching we would ask all residents to take care with home security including sheds and garages. Always leave a light on at home, potential criminals will always target a property that appears empty.

With Halloween and Bonfire night approaching incidents of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) tend to increase with our children. ASB in Audlem involving kids has been none existent for almost 3 years. This is a remarkable achievement and thanks must go to parents/guardians, schools and of course the children themselves.

The police work hard with the school and youth club and engage with children at all times, making sure they understand the consequences of ASB and crime, and the effects it has on communities.

Speeding vehicles on roads in and around the village are being targeted by local officers and our Roads Policing unit. This is one of the main concerns of local residents and we would ask all drivers to keep within the limits and drive with care. PC Marson and I have been stopping tractor drivers who drive when using mobile phones, also making sure that trailers and machinery have appropriate number plates and lighting etc.

We would ask everybody to be vigilant in your community and to report any suspicious activity you come across. You can contact the police using 101 for non- emergencies, but always call 999 if you see a crime in progress or where there is a threat to life.
