Partridge family in Audlem

Roy Plume has sent this recently taken photograph in his garden in School Lane. He says:

"Mum and Dad had been regular visitors to the bird table over the cold winter months. They were impressed enough to bring the whole family, now it is warmer, after bird seed. After a good look round, they headed back across the bridge from whence they had come."

Unusual, we think, to see partridges so near to the village centre.
