A parrot was found in Audlem village on Tuesday night.

If this belongs to anyone please can they contact Hillside veterinary surgery on 01270 625310

Audlem Online adds: This is not the first parrot found in Audlem. It may be of interest to some that on 29th May 2006, we published the following:

"Just in case you think it's all Carnival, music and fun this weekend, a gentle reminder that the mundane everyday happenings in Audlem still continue! A green parrot has been found in the village and the owner is welcome to enquire at the Hillside vets' house next to Corbrook Court.

"Note that it's a green parrot – anybody who has lost a yellow, red or blue parrot in the last few days need not apply. We cannot confirm if it answers to the name Polly but, despite being at the vets, it's not a sick parrot. Just lost!"

We have also published a number of Chatbox comments this year about lost parrots. Whether this parrot is one of those lost, we do not know.
