Painted Lady Butterflies start their lives in North Africa and migrate in early spring across Spain and France to spend the summer in the British Isles
This year it appears they are arriving in greater numbers than usual,
Whilst doing a 'Butterfly Count' In Kinsey Heath today, I spotted 15 beautiful Painted Ladies feeding
on a buddleia plant, as well as a wide variety of other species such as Peacock, Red Admiral,
Small Tortoiseshell and Large White.
Why not spend some time in your garden and admire these beautiful rare visitors?
