We are delighted to bring you more photographs from Sunday's day-long Oxjam event at the Lord Combermere.

Our thanks to Phil Baker for the photos.

Also, a reminder that a compilation CD was available on the day featuring eleven tracks by the acts who all donated the songs for the special album:-

  • The Wash with 'Eddies Stripper'

  • Blué Cafe with 'Call Me'

  • The Folkwits with 'The Tip of my Tongue'

  • Darren Poyzer with 'Julie Rainbow'

  • Roydan Styles with 'For All Time'

  • Modern Alarms with 'Voodoo Dancing Monkey Man'

  • Alex Hulme with 'Dare'

  • The Foxy Wellingtons with 'The Libertine'

  • Hello Big World  with 'Into the Wild'

  • Dayve Dean with 'Starting Line'

  • Blue Café at the Hoc's JAM sessions with 'Regrets'

Your reporter has listened to the CD. It is extraordinarily good value – top quality recordings, a wonderful range of music styles and just £3. You will listen to this many times and be amazed by the talent – local and from further afield – that played at Oxjam.

The last track, Regrets, recorded at The Hoc's JAM sessions by Blue Café on an iPhone, is ten minutes of engaging music and, it has to be said, is also a testimony to the technical brilliance of the late Steve Jobs' hand-held devices. An iPhone – it's incredible!

If you missed buying one – they are just £3 – speak to Ian Haughey at Hoc's Fat Pigeon or Reuben Palin to see if there are any copies left.
