Our MP's response to chatbox

Following a number of comments on your online forum regarding Antoinette's views on the EU (Withdrawal) Bill, Antoinette thought it would be helpful to clarify her position for your readers.

"I note that there are a number of comments on the chatbox forum regarding my stance on the EU (Withdrawal) Bill. I thought it may be helpful to read my latest statement to clarify my reasoning behind my position.

"I have been working with the Government on this issue for a number of months and we were encouraged as Conservatives to table amendments -- which we have done -- the Government is considering those amendments and the DEXEU Minister Steve
Baker last night said "I regret any media attempts to divide our party. My Parliamentary colleagues have sincere suggestions to improve the Bill which we are working through".

"The amendment tabled in respect of putting a hard Brexit on the face of the Bill did not go to cabinet, and I will not be supporting the amendment in the name of David Davies that puts a hard Brexit date into the Bill."
