There's another opportunity today to join in the ADAS organised 6th Annual Open Gardens & Scarecrow Trail Weekend.

Twelve beautiful gardens will be open to view – from large to small – in Audlem, Cox Bank and Hankelow. The entry price is £2.50 and the trail starts at the Public Hall at 1.00 pm where a full list and map of the gardens will be issued to you.

As well as the Open Gardens and Scarecrow weekend, Audlem District Amenities Society (ADAS) will also be holding its Silent Auction at Audlem Public Hall in aid of Audlem village funds. There are over 80 fabulous lots on offer including a Jensen Button F1 Podium cap – signed!; Bentley Motors goods; games of golf; a holiday cottage let; 3 course meals and many, many more lots. There's a long list displayed in the ADAS noticeboard in the village centre. If you haven't yet made a bid try and get to the Public Hall this afternoon.

All of the lots (or detailed descriptions) are on display in the Public Hall and bidding will take place between 1.00pm and 6.00pm. You bid and it is written down. At 6pm today the highest bid wins.

It's a great way to get involved in an auction, be involved in fund-raising for village amenities and, very possibly, getting a valuable item for your money.
