The ADAS (Audlem District Amenities Society) Open gardens weekend attracted many visitors to the village who then went to see up to 12 gardens in Audlem, Hankelow and Cox Bank. Garden owners were surprised at the distances many had travelled with Albrighton, near Wolverhampton, Knutsford, Northwich, Derbyshire and Ellesmere all mentioned as well as many from Crewe, Nantwich and the Potteries. Indeed, many from the Stoke area said they had been attracted by a story in the Evening Sentinel which featured one of the gardens.

Garden owners also added how much they enjoyed the weekend while the event, along with the Silent Auction and Scarecrow trail, raised valuable funds which will be spent on village amenities by ADAS. There will be a full report later on the Silent Auction.
