I attended school on Monday to review the many Ailsa Craig onions grown over summer by the children. Each year ADAS organises a plant for the children to grow.
The seedling plants were given out to the pupils at the end of May and now was the time to judge their efforts. There were lots of superb onions on show and the children all said that they enjoyed the challenge.
The results are as follows:-
A truly happy time for me to see so many eager faces as we presented the prizes and we agreed that we will grow the biggest marrows next year.
