Last year Peter Kay asked for past users of these blocked paths off Bagley Lane to come forward as he was making a new attempt to get Shropshire to progress the case for re-opening.
Several people contacted him and their statements were added to those submitted in 2004. Happily, following these new submissions, a Rights of Way Officer was assigned to the case and she has been busy searching the historical records and liaising with the landowners. A document in the Public Records Office in Kew, similar to the one shown, may hold vital evidence.
To strengthen the evidence of use photographs taken by past users have been collected and here is the mystery:
Someone told Peter in the Lord Combermere that they had a family photograph taken by the pool on the path nearest the canal.
If you were that person, or if you have any photographs or other useful information would you contact Peter via email email@example.com
