This Saturday 6th December is Small Business Saturday in the UK – celebrating and bringing to the public's attention our wonderful, diverse small businesses. In 2014 this campaign resulted in a 20% increase in footfall in small independent businesses from 2013 – what a result! This year the organisers are hoping it will be even more successful.

In Audlem we are lucky to have a wide variety of small independents who serve the village and many of you support these businesses year round.

For those who prefer to shop in supermarkets, get their coffee at Costa or their Christmas shopping online, maybe give your local independent shops a go this Saturday and see how much you can buy locally – you might be pleasantly surprised.
