The next History Society talk will be held on Thursday, 18th April, at 7.30pm at the Scout and Guide Hall, Audlem. The speaker will be Graham Martin giving us a brief history of the Northwich Union Workhouse.
Graham works in education as a learning advisor for the museum service in Northwich, and his talk on the Weaver Hall Museum covers the Victorian period when it was a workhouse, and the events that led up to the changes of use for the building during the twentieth century and up to the present day.
This should be a really interesting evening, and everyone is welcome, including visitors( please pay £4 on the door). Refreshments will be available after the talk.
