Police stormed a house in Market Drayton yesterday in an early morning drugs raid.

Around ten officers broke down the door to the Market Drayton property just before 7.30am.
Police surrounded the house in Beechwood Court to prevent any attempts at escape.

Officers found a number of needles but no drugs and no arrests were made. Police said they decided to act following several reports of alleged drug use at the house.

Constable Mick Sturland, of the Market Drayton police unit said: "The aim is to show people we will deal with targets if we are given the right information."

Police are keen to hear from anyone regarding misuse of drugs and urge people to call the non-emergency number 101.
