The next ADAPT cycle ride will be on Tuesday August 8th, leaving the Bridge Inn in Audlem at 10.30am as usual.
Note the change to the scheduled destination - the route will be L14 to Woore fruit farm, distance 17 miles, all 'on-road'.
We hope for as much sunshine as we enjoyed on the last ride. We will be covering Route L14 from the ADAPT Cycle Map, which will take us via Norton in Hales and Knighton to Woore Fruit Farm where there is the opportunity for fruit picking. The route follows back lanes for most of the way, although there is a short section of busier 'B-road' between Knighton and Ireland's Cross.
The moderate hill to the south of Norton in Hales offers the opportunity for a little exercise.
Soup and sandwiches will be available from the Fruit Farm Cafe.
The ride was originally publicised as stopping at Bearstone Fruit Farm, but they have advised that they will be closing for the season a couple of days before the ride, so we will now cover the whole of route L14 by carrying on for another mile and a bit to Woore Fruit Farm. We are leisure cyclists, not sports cyclists and we travel at a modest pace suitable for all. Beginners and returning cyclists will feel at home.
You'll receive a warm welcome. All ages are welcome, but children under 18 should be accompanied by an adult.
