It's a new month and a new Vote Poll on Audlem Online. Cheshire Police have been worried that the last couple of Community Action Meetings to discuss policing in the village have not been as well attended as previous ones. Are the meetings a good use of police resources, they wonder, and have even asked if a form of on-line Community Action Meeting could be developed using Audlem Online. That's an option the webteam felt would disenfranchise too many people who attend the current meetings.

The webteam has suggested instead we ask whether you feel the police should continue with regular Community Action Meetings in Audlem as our October Vote Poll. You can vote by selecting Yes/No/Unsure and clicking on 'Vote Now'. The police are very keen to hear your views.

Last month's Vote Poll on the 'bugs in the bins' produced a relatively close result with 56% against the electronic monitoring devices in the recycling bins and 43% for while 1% were unsure. As few, if any, other communities in Crewe & Nantwich have a regular method of testing opinion, this result will be of interest to the Borough Council. Local newspapers were full of letters and comment last month with much divided opinion over the 'bugs' and the way they had been installed with little prior information.
